- University of Amsterdam staff join pro-Palestine protestsProfessor of sociology at the University of Amsterdam, Sarah Bracke, spoke to Al Jazeera about the student and staff protests against Israel’s war on Gaza in the Netherlands.She said the staff at three higher education institutions in Amsterdam witnessed police “violently” attempting to disperse a peaceful student encampment last Monday.She said the staff today are protesting as they want to end the university’s complicity in “the ongoing genocide” in Gaza and call out the violent methods that police have used to suppress peaceful protests.She noted that Jewish staff and student protesters were beaten by police despite the educational institutions’ claim that police were needed to protect the Jewish students on campus.

- Hezbollah claims it destroyed tank in missile strike on Yiftah barracksLebanon’s Hezbollah armed group has claimed to have hit an Israeli Merkava tank with a guided missile in Yiftah barracks in the occupied Lebanese village of Qadas.“It was destroyed and its crew was killed and wounded,” it said in a statement on Telegram.The attack came in support of Gaza at , it added.Earlier today, it also claimed an air attack on the newly-created position of the 403rd Reserve Artillery Battalion of the 91st Division, south of Beit Hillel in northern Israel.That attack left “enemy officers and soldiers dead and wounded”, it said.

- Israeli forces continued to attack the Jabalia refugee camp, and intensified attacks on Gaza City, killing at least three people in the Sabra neighbourhood and one in the Shujayea neighbourhood.They fired on ambulances trying to reach the wounded as Israeli air raids pound crowded residential areas within the refugee camp, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.In south and central Rafah, Israeli forces continued with their air attacks, killing at least one person in a strike on a medical centre in the Bureij refugee camp and targeting residential buildings in east Rafah.An Israeli air attack on a house in the Brazil neighbourhood of Rafah killed four people, including a young girl, according to the Wafa news agency.Medical staff at the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah received an evacuation order from Israeli forces, Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reported.Gaza’s Health Ministry said without fuel for hospital generators, the health system across Gaza could collapse in “a few hours”.
