Israel’s war on Gaza live: ‘Dozens’ killed, wounded in overnight attacks

  • Israeli forces also carry out more raids in the occupied West Bank, killing at least four Palestinians and destroying infrastructure.
  • Hezbollah says two of its fighters were killed after Israel launched attacks deep inside Lebanon for a second consecutive day.
  • PM Netanyahu reiterates his intention to invade Rafah and “finish the job” against Hamas.
  • Mediator Qatar says the two sides are not close to a deal to end the fighting and free captives.
  • At least 31,184 Palestinians have been killed and 72,889 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The revised death toll in Israel from Hamas’s October 7 attacks stands at 1,139 and dozens continue to be held captive.

  • Greek military ship shoots at 2 drones in the Red SeaA Greek military frigate, part of the EU’s naval mission in the Red Sea, has shot at two drones in order to push them back, a Greek defence official has said.The EU launched its naval mission, dubbed Aspides, in February in response to the growing threat of Houthi attacks on shipping vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.The Houthis have said they are carrying out the attacks in response to Israel’s war on Gaza, and have pledged to increase their intensity during Ramadan.Click here to share on social media
