- Deaths reported across Gaza Strip including at school-turned-shelterReporting from Deir el-Balah, Gaza StripThere was an overnight attack in Bureij refugee camp (in central Gaza) where four people were killed, including members of the same family, after a residential tower was hit.The Israeli military carried out another strike in the western part of Nuseirat refugee camp (also in central Gaza). Initial reports that we have received say five people have been killed. Casualties from that attack have arrived at Al-Aqsa Hospital. We are seeing the same pattern where women and children make up the vast majority of the casualties.In another Israeli raid, lethal air strikes were carried out on a school that was turned into a shelter, where families have been sheltering for the past 10 months. Eight people have been reportedly killed, and half of those were people from one family.This is not the first time we’re seeing an educational facility turned into a shelter as Palestinians across the Gaza Strip lack basic facilities and turn to these schools seeking protection.
