Norway is a developed and stable country located on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. This country is bordered by Russia, Finland, Sweden, the North Sea, and the Norwegian Sea. The government is democratically elected and very stable. There is no major threat to stability. Norway has one of the highest living standards in the world thanks to its well-developed oil, gas, shipping, and fishing industries. This country provides a positive environment for business and tourism. The level of corruption is low. Crime rates are relatively low, but foreign travelers may be more prone to petty crime, and transportation in the northern regions is risky.
Norway is not a member of the European Union, but it is a member of the European Economic Area (EEA), the European Free Trade Area (EFTA), and the Schengen Area.

The country is politically stable and is expected to remain so until the next election in 2025.
